Vaughn: A 31-year-old student seeking his doctorate in clinical psychology.
Kang the Conqueror: A Marvel supervillain and time-traveling despot from the 30th century.
(Vaughn sits at a coffee table contemplating life. In an email offering a scholarship, he is asked the question; who would you be, a superhero or a villain? Turning to his lovely wife, he proclaims …)
Vaughn: I should be the villain.
Caroline: What? Why!?!
(Vaughn stares into the distance; entering a world beyond imagination.)
(Kang’s first officer sees his commander open his eyes after a prolonged pause.)
Officer: Sir, are you alright?
(Vaughn’s influence takes control.)
Kang: Status Report!
Officer: We remain in geosynchronous orbit over Earth! The fleet stands by for your orders. Their champions, the Avengers, approach.
Kang: Just as planned… Commander! Withdraw the fleet. Set a course for the galactic center!
Officer: But sir …
(Vaughn, asserting his newly found power.)
Kang: You question, me!?!
Caroline: Earth to Vaughn! Where did you go?
Vaughn: By taking the place of the villain, I would be stopping him from “conquering.” If I became the hero, Kang would not be stopped in a day, but if I became the villain the problem would be solved. In terms of powers, I would want to be a character in command of time and space. With such power, technically, one day could last for an eternity. There are so many options!
(Caroline rolls her eyes and finishes her chocolate cake.)
2. If you could be a superhero or have one "super power," who/what would you choose and why?
The essay has to be max 2000characters and high level. I would really appreciate your help!
If I had one super power, it would be the ability to control time. With my power I would be able to stop, reverse, slow down and speed up time whenever I want to. I chose this power because I hear this question a lot: "If you could go back in time and change something, what would it be?", and with my ability to control time, I can actually do such a thing. The ability to control time would give me power over any situation, and I can help anyone with it.
With my super power, I would most likely to use it to make my life much easier. For example, if I almost trip on the stairs, I can slowly reverse the time and recover without getting a bruise or getting an injury. Also, if one morning I don't feel like waking up or if I think I need more sleep, instead of wasting the time I could be doing something more productive, I would stop the time until I feel like getting up.
While enjoying my super power, I can also help others instead of myself. For example, if there was a car accident, I can reverse the time and try to help make it not happen. I can also (i don't know what to write)
This power would be so nice to have, but at the same time I will have a lot responsibility to deal with. Since I would probably be the only with this power, if people found out my super power, they might ask for my help for a situation they want to change and demand my help. If that did happen, I would need to take care of my self and my decisions while trying not to let people down because I don't like to hurt others feelings.
In conclusion, having the ability to control time is a wonderful thing. It can definitely help me and others in many different shapes and forms. Despite all the responsibility I would need to take in with the super power, I think the super power I chose is well worth it.
So... was it good in general?
was the spelling/punctuation/grammar ok?
Should I be using more harder vocabuary???
